I've been fooling around with keyboards and guitars since before my teens. Growing up during the mid to late 1970s, my first song-writing efforts were influenced by the prevailing New Wave and power pop bands dominating the UK album and singles charts. My older brother's extensive collection of American West Coast albums expanded my musical interests, somewhat.

Never fully comfortable in front of an audience, I decided not to pursue live gigging.

My interest in composition and audio recording techniques - initially with open reel four track tape recorders and, more recently with digital multi-track technology - has led me to focus on producing my own songs, using whatever gear and instruments I have to hand at the time.

As to my singing - hmm, let's just say it's not what it was. I'd love to hear these songs sung in tune!
